A mustached man from Missouri

We think every face tells a story. What was this man’s story?
He was the youngest of three mustached brothers (you can see his brothers photos in separate listings). His brothers had prominent jobs in town, following in the footsteps of their father, and his father before him. But he had even bigger plans. He had been designing and sketching ships since he was a young boy. He would build models of his designs and test them out on the Mississippi River. Now at the age of 25, he was ready to venture to a new country and start a life building his ships. One ship in particular was his most titanic design of all – it was going to make him famous.

ITEM CONDITION
This antique cabinet card photograph is in good condition – especially considering it is around 130 years old. There are small wear areas on the edges of the card. The photograph is intact. The bottom of the card is embossed with “Franklin Studio” and “St. Louis, Missouri”. The back of the card is blank. Please use the ZOOM tool to get a close up view of this item and its condition.
