A man with a mustache from Missouri…

We think every face tells a story. What was this man’s story?
He was the middle child of three mustached brothers (you can see their photos in separate listings). His oldest brother was all business, and all his youngest brother ever did was build toy ships to play with in the river. His father had been a lawyer and his grandfather a judge. He had gone to University and had become a lawyer just like his father, but his heart just wasn’t in his chosen occupation. He really loved to make pastries, and dreamed of being a baker. Macarons, profiteroles, beignets, eclairs, mille-feuilles, croissant aux Amandes, cannoli, and opera cakes were all his specialties. He discovered he could easily sway a judge in his favor with his decadent croquembouche. Some day he would leave his legal career behind, and pursue his pastry passion.

ITEM CONDITION
This antique cabinet card photograph is in good condition – especially considering it is around 130 years old. There are small wear areas on the edges of the card. The photograph is intact. The bottom of the card is embossed with “Murillo” and “Missouri”. The back of the card is blank. Please use the ZOOM tool to get a close up view of this item and its condition.
